5 Questions for Team Fox Summer Series Ambassador Lucy Pliscofsky

This summer, kids and teens all around the country are bringing some Team Fox spirit to their summers with the Team Fox Summer Series. From backyard BBQs to summer camp talents shows, our Summer Series ambassadors are finding creative ways to raise both awareness and funds in support of Parkinson's research.

This week, we're catching up with Lucy Pliscofsy- an enthusiastic 6-year old from South Glens Falls, NY. Inspired by her mother, Megan-- a long-time Team Fox member who will be running the NYC Marathon this November!-- Lucy's summer of fundraising is already off to a great start! With over $300 raised so far, she's excited to keep her lemonade stand momentum going!

We're thrilled that you'll be joining our Summer Series over the next few months! Tell us about your plans. My grandpa "Dude" built me a lemonade stand to raise money for Team Fox. I have set up my stand once already and plan to do it a few more times this summer.

What was the inspiration behind getting involved and hosting a lemonade stand? My Nonna has Parkinson's disease and I wanted to help find a cure. I want to fundraise like my Mom.

Have you ever fundraised before? What are you most excited about? Yes! I collected donations for my Mom's 5K race-- The Fox Trot 5K-- and raised over $500. I won a trophy and that was exciting!

What do you think the recipe for the perfect summer fundraiser is? Sunshine, Smiles and Lemonade!

Favorite Summer Tradition? Going to Goose Rocks Beach, ME with my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. I love to find shells on the beach.
