Jeffrey H. Kordower earned his undergraduate and masters in psychology and PhD in neuropsychology from the Queens College of the City University of New York. He did his post-doctoral work at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Kordower is also a professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences and head of the Neurobiology Section at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. His research involves mechanisms for neural protection and transplantation, including gene therapy and development of cell lines. He has served as the president of the American Society for Neural Transplantation and has been honored with numerous awards and published more than 160 professional articles.
