Mr. Prescott is the former owner and chief executive officer of Prescott Supermarkets, Inc., a family-owned and -operated company comprising nine grocery super-stores in Wisconsin, that he sold in 2003. Mr. Prescott was active in the Wisconsin Grocers Association (WGA) and was a member of its Board of Directors from 1986 through 1990. In 1992 he was named WGA "Grocer of the Year."
Mr. Prescott is a major supporter of Parkinson's research, and has been a vocal advocate for stem cell research. He and his family have contributed significant gifts to the University of Wisconsin's Waisman Center and the Parkinson's Research Institute, and are involved with other Parkinson's disease organizations including the Wisconsin Parkinson's Association and the Parkinson's Action Network.
Mr. Prescott's directorships include Roundy's, Inc., West Bend Mutual Insurance Co., Kettle Moraine Employer's Group Health, Management Resources Association and Bank One of West Bend. He has also been active in the West Bend, Wisconsin, community, where he and his wife, Judi, reside. Mr. Prescott is affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club of West Bend/Washington County, the United Way and the West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Prescott received a BA in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1970.
