David Eger, PhD

David Eger is a psychologist in private clinical practice, with specialties in neuropsychological evaluations of learning disabilities in children and counseling/ psychoeducation of people with Parkinson’s. He is also a faculty member at Sarah Lawrence College.

David was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2000. From 2003 to 2008 he was co-founder and director of Music for Parkinson’s Research -- a local nonprofit fundraising sponsor of annual chamber music concerts to raise money exclusively to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation. In 2004 David was selected by the United States FDA to be one of three national PwPs to serve as an FDA consultant to approval process for PD research and outcomes studies. He was also selected by the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation in 2006 to serve on and co-chair PDF’s Parkinson’s Patient Council (PPAC).

Most recently, in 2008 David founded AllThingsParkinsons.org, a wiki site under construction to be a collaborative effort of the world-wide Parkinson´s community to assemble all information relevant to PD in one location.
