Michael J. Fox Honors Team Fox Most Valuable People
The first annual Team Fox MVP Awards were held on April 27, 2007. Wrapping up Parkinson's Awareness Month, the event honored Team Fox members for their outstanding fundraising efforts in 2006. Together, Team Fox members and athletes raised over 1.18 million dollars for Parkinson's research in the program's inaugural year.
Guests were treated to dinner and cocktails generously hosted by Tiffany and Company at their 5th Avenue store location. A special VIP reception was also held for supporters who had raised over $25,000 for Team Fox. The Foundation heartily thanks Chairman Michael J. Kowalski and the Tiffany's staff, whose invaluable contributions made the evening a delight for the over 150 guests in attendance.
During the evening, top Team Fox fundraisers Gary and Jill Leith were honored for their outstanding achievements in 2006, contributing $95,000 to the Foundation. Guests also enjoyed a special viewing of The Rachael Ray show segment that aired earlier that day and spotlighted the work that Team members do in their communities.
