Apply For Grant Funding

The Michael J. Fox Foundation anticipates funding over $25 million in research programs in calendar year 2007. Our strong research emphasis is on translational and clinical research, though we offer funding programs targeting projects at all stages of the continuum from basic to clinical science.

If you are new to the Foundation, please read the information in this and other sections carefully - particularly The MJFF Funding Philosophy and The MJFF Approach - to gain an understanding of how we work and what factors contribute to a successful application.

To be kept apprised of funding opportunities as they arise, bookmark our Open Funding Programs page and sign up for our Researcher Email list.

Note that the Rapid Response Innovation Awards, designed to provide up to $75,000 for novel and potentially high-impact approaches to Parkinson's disease, are always open and have no submission deadline. Additionally, two of our programs, the Clinical Discovery Program and Target Validation, are launched annually.

To search all MJFF-funded grants to date by institution, researcher name, scientific keyword, year funded or other, use our Funded Studies Database.

Recently, MJFF presented a Grant Writing Seminar at the 2007 Society for Neuroscience Meeting in San Diego, California. To view the presentation and to learn more about MJFF's funding philosophy and to get tips on grant writing, read our Funding Philosophy and Grant Writing Workshop, written by the Foundation's research team.
