Today, Parkinson’s researchers are heading to Capitol Hill to urge Congress to increase federal funding for scientific research. You can amplify this message by emailing your lawmakers now and asking them to invest in Parkinson’s breakthroughs.
In recent years, we’ve seen incredible progress in Parkinson’s drug development, but there’s still an urgent need for improved therapies and a cure. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Defense (DoD) Parkinson’s Research Program are key to advancing Parkinson’s research progress. Both agencies must receive sufficient funding from Congress in order to complete their important work.
Congress is currently working on federal funding levels for Fiscal Year 2021. As legislators make spending decisions, it’s important that they hear directly from their constituents.
Email your members of Congress today and tell them to support increases for the NIH and the DoD Parkinson’s Research Program.
