Michelle Whitham joined The Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2019 as a Research Partnerships Officer. In 2020 she moved to the Community Events team where she manages the logistics and operations for all Official Fox Trot and Tour de Fox events located in the eastern U.S. region.

Prior to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Michelle served as a Coordinator of Operations and Strategic Planning at Sesame Workshop, the non-profit behind Sesame Street. There she served as a junior project manager for the award-winning application from the MacArthur Foundation’s $100 million grant competition with a 5-year program to help children affected by the Syrian Civil War. Michelle also served as a junior project manager for the awarded $100 million from the LEGO Foundation to bring the power of learning through play to children affected by the Rohingya and Syrian refugee crises. 

Michelle graduated from Iona College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Minor in Communication Study. There she was a member of the Division 1 Women’s Lacrosse Team. Holding honors on the Dean’s list her entire academic career and member of the English Honor’s Society, Sigma Tau Delta.
