Team Fox has a limited number of entries available for the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Please complete the application below to be considered for a spot on the team. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. If we are able to welcome you to the team, a member of the Team Fox staff will contact you directly to confirm your acceptance and provide next steps.

Team Fox Athlete Benefits and Commitment

Athletes accepted to Team Fox will receive guaranteed entry to the marathon and commit to raising a minimum of $3,000 by October 4, 2027.* To ensure their fundraising is on track, athletes agree to meet 30% of their fundraising commitment ($900) by May 2, 2027.

*If the $3,000 fundraising commitment is not met by October 4, 2027, the athlete agrees to cover the remaining balance.

As a Team Fox Athlete, you will also receive:

A complimentary Team Fox race jersey
Access to certified running coaches throughout your training
Fundraising support from Team Fox staff
Opportunities to connect with fellow Team Fox Athletes
Invitations to race-weekend activities, including a pre-race luncheon and race day HQ.

FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By joining Team Fox for the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, you will be given guaranteed entry for the 2027 Chicago Marathon in exchange for raising $3,000 due no later than October 4, 2027. You must meet 30% of your commitment ($900) by May 2, 2027. You will be responsible for completing both Team Fox registration and race registration before all relevant deadlines.

If you are unable to participate in the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon due to injury or other circumstances, you will still be required to fulfill the full commitment amount by check(s) or credit card(s) by October 4, 2027, and you will not be able to defer your entry.

CONFIRMATION OF TERMS

If selected for the team I understand I am responsible for all charges if I have not fulfilled my commitment amount by October 4, 2027. If I am not able to participate in the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon due to injury or other circumstances, I will still be required to fulfill the full commitment amount by check(s) or credit card(s) by October 4, 2027, and I will not be able to defer my entry. I understand I am responsible for claiming my guaranteed entry, and will pay all registration fees associated with my participation. I understand I am responsible for providing my credit card information electronically upon creation of my Team Fox fundraising page. I understand I am not on the team until officially notified by a member of the Team Fox staff.

STATEMENT OF INTENT & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I am solely responsible for my own health and safety. I represent and warrant that I am physically able to participate in the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon supported by The Michael J. Fox Foundation.

I agree, for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, to not sue and to release, indemnify, and hold harmless, The Michael J. Fox Foundation; its affiliates, officers, directors, volunteers, and employees; and all sponsoring businesses and organizations, their agents, and employees; from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of my participation in this event and related activities, whether it results from the negligence of any of the above or from any other cause.

I authorize The Michael J. Fox Foundation to take and use photographs and/or videos of me during the event, for publicity, promotion, and/or for use in The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s future media related needs.
