Comic book fans rallied around Chris Sparks and his friend, cartoonist Richard Thompson, to celebrate the launch of “Team Cul de Sac: Cartoonists Draw the Line at Parkinson’s.” After Richard was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2009, Sparks spent two years putting together this book, which honors Richard’s career as a cartoonist. So far, through book sales and a private auction, Chris Sparks has raised more than $40,000 for Parkinson’s research.
