Team Fox member Pat Erickson was diagnosed with Parkinsonís disease in 2001 at the age of 45. Since she joined Team Fox in 2006, she has raised more than $107,000 for Parkinsonís research. Her fundraising efforts took off after her inaugural Pinkyís Passion for a Parkinsonís Cure Fashion Show in April 2007. That year, Pat and her friends celebrated vintage style, raising more than $12,000 for Team Fox. The successóand funóof the event coupled with their passion for the cause eventually led to multiple annual fundraisers for Parkinsonís research, including musical performances, holiday parties and a walk.
The third annual ďWalk to the Future Ė A Future without ParkinsonísĒ will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Edmonds-Woodway Stadium in Edmonds, WA. The walk starts at 10 a.m. and is open to all ages. It will begin with a Unity Lap where all attendees who have Parkinsonís are invited to walk one lap around the track together.
