Pinky’s Passion Walk to the Future without Parkinson’s on 7/28

Team Fox member Pat Erickson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2001 at the age of 45. Since she joined Team Fox in 2006, she has raised more than $107,000 for Parkinson’s research. Her fundraising efforts took off after her inaugural Pinky’s Passion for a Parkinson’s Cure Fashion Show in April 2007. That year, Pat and her friends celebrated vintage style, raising more than $12,000 for Team Fox. The success—and fun—of the event coupled with their passion for the cause eventually led to multiple annual fundraisers for Parkinson’s research, including musical performances, holiday parties and a walk.

The third annual “Walk to the Future – A Future without Parkinson’s” will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Edmonds-Woodway Stadium in Edmonds, WA. The walk starts at 10 a.m. and is open to all ages. It will begin with a Unity Lap where all attendees who have Parkinson’s are invited to walk one lap around the track together. There is a $35 registration fee which includes lunch and an event T-shirt. For more information, visit the Pinky’s Passion website.
