Beach Brigade Walks to Cure Parkinson's

Beach Brigade Walks to Cure Parkinson's

This guest post comes from Mark Siegel, President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association.

"Calling out around the World,

Are you ready for a brand new beat.

Summer’s here and the time is right

For dancing in the streets”

On Sunday April 29, the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association will take to the streets in the annual Beach Brigade in Santa Monica. The event has grown every year and is expected to be even more successful this year. All net proceeds from the walk will be used for research for Parkinson’s disease.

It is a magical event that includes people with Parkinson’s, parents, children, friends and celebrities, all raising awareness of the disease and how prevalent it is.

Everyone is invited to join us in front of Santa Monica City Hall  at 9:00 AM. We walk 2 miles along the bluffs of Palisades park above the bay. It is a beautiful location, ideal for walking to end Parkinson’s disease.

I’ll see you there.
