David Einhorn, board member at The Michael J. Fox Foundation and noted poker aficionado, has a long track record of making generous gifts to charity. Case in point: This afternoon, David will be competing in the final round of the Big One for the Big Drop charity poker tournament on behalf of City Year.

We extend not only our congratulations to David Einhorn on his entry to the final table of the tournament, but offer our good wishes to his charity recipient for winnings from this tournament today -- City Year.

At the 2008 World Series of Poker, David pledged all winnings to The Michael J. Fox Foundation. His 18th place finish resulted in a gift of $660,000 for Parkinson’s disease research. David currently serves as co-host of the Foundation's annual event, Playing to Win: Poker Tournament and Casino Night.
