First Look: 'The Michael J. Fox Show' Airs on NBC Thursday Nights this Fall [VIDEO]

Take a first look at "The Michael J. Fox Show" trailer, airing Thursdays on NBC at 9:30 p.m. this fall.

While the premiere date is still pending, Fox will star as Mike Henry, a beloved New York news anchor, who after taking time off to focus on his family and a Parkinson's diagnosis decides to return to work. Starring opposite Michael is "The Wire's" Wendell Pierce, as his former boss, and "Breaking Bad's" Betsy Brandt, as his wife Annie.

Michael's return to TV has been attributed to a change in his medicine regimen, previously disclosed in an interview with Diane Sawyer as amantadine:

[T]here's a drug that previously was used to combat the flu with older people...they found out that for those older people that had Parkinson's and took Parkinson's medications that had dyskinesias, that it worked effectively on a large amount of the patients that took this medication. So it eventually got repurposed...well now I have less dyskinesia and don't get the flu. So that's kinda nice.
