Over the course of the last 3 weeks, a collective 44,000+ miles have been walked, run and biked through our inaugural Miles for a Cure Challenge. As a result of those 44,000+ miles—each earning one dollar thanks to our Miles for a Cure sponsor Medtronic DBS Therapy—over $44,000 has been raised to help fund critical Parkinson’s disease research! And now, you have the chance to triple the impact.
This weekend only (Oct. 26 and 27), each mile that is logged will raise $3 to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Whether you are training for an upcoming race, swinging by your local trailhead with friends or simply enjoying a leisurely walk around the neighborhood with your family, you have the chance to make a difference. It’s that easy.
The support that we have seen from the Foundation's friends and community has been tremendous, and we’re not the only ones who have been touched. Inspired by the overwhelming success of the Miles for a Cure Challenge thus far, Medtronic DBS Therapy has raised the stakes from the initial 50,000 miles and $50,000 goal to an incredible 100,000 miles and a potential $100,000 donation. Join us today in helping us double our impact.
Editor’s note: For those within the greater-NYC area, we invite you to join us for an official Triple Miles Meet-up on Saturday in Central Park! We’ll meet at 10AM at the main park entrance near 59th Street and 8th Avenue. Bring your friends, bring your bikes; all ages and paces are welcome! Remember, just one lap around the park could mean $20 for Parkinson’s research. Email email@example.com with questions.
