How to Support Team Fox from the Other Side of the World

When James Young signed up for Team Fox earlier this year, he—like the rest of our 1,500+ members—had one clear objective in mind: help end Parkinson’s disease. James is raising funds for The Michael J. Fox Foundation in honor of his father, who has been living with PD for about eight years.

James, who currently lives in Hong Kong with his wife and three sons, feels somewhat helpless when it comes to caring for his UK-based father: “Being on the other side of the world, I am not able to support him as much as I would like. But as a member of Team Fox, I can still make a difference.”

And how, exactly, is James making a difference? He will be representing Team Fox at his first triathlon in Phuket, Thailand, on November 25th. Although this is his first tri, he has put in the training and is ready for the challenge. “My training has been hard and the race will be tough, but so what?” James remarks. “I can swim, I can ride a bike and I can run. There are so many people that cannot. This is for them and for my dad, my hero.”

James will be donning his Team Fox gear at the race, as will four of his friends. Together, they will be cultivating awareness on the shores of Laguna Phuket and throughout the tropical grounds of Thailand’s largest island. To thank James for his efforts across the world, leave a comment or make a donation to his Team Fox page.
