Next week, Sam Fox, MJFF’s outreach and engagement officer, will speak at the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas, on his extreme feats of fundraising for Parkinson’s research. Sam, pictured here in July 2012 during his second endurance challenge — running 100 miles in 24 hours from New York City to Southampton, New York — has raised $200,000 for Parkinson’s research to date. He commits his acts of ultra-athleticism in honor of his mother, Lucy, who has Parkinson’s disease.
