Ted Thompson recently spoke to Comcast Newsmakers about the unification of The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) and the Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN).

PAN programs have transitioned to MJFF, and Thompson, who served as the president and CEO of PAN from 2014 to 2016, joins the Foundation as senior vice president of public policy.

“It’s going to be good for the Parkinson’s patient, the caregiver, the doctors, etc.,” Thompson said about the unification. “Speaking with one voice, with a research organization like Michael J. Fox behind us, we’re going to have much greater knowledge that we can use in our advocacy. The patient, I think, is going to see bigger results.”
