At The Michael J. Fox Foundation, we occasionally receive letters from fans of Michael J. Fox. But not often do they come from 13-year-old girls who dream of finding a cure for Parkinson’s. We received this note (excerpted below) from Sophia Duvall, of Jacksonville, Florida.

“I love to do what you do, find a cure for PD… When I heard from my dad you had PD, I felt bad. So I’ve been trying to raise money for you… I wish you the best of luck with your foundation. I believe in you. Some day you will find a cure.”
