John Dalrymple-Alford is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Canterbury and the Van der Veer Institute for Parkinson’s and Brain Research, in Christchurch, New Zealand. He is also an adjunct associate professor at the University of Otago’s Christchurch School of Medicine. He received his PhD from the University College of Swansea, Wales, UK and held consecutive post-doctoral positions at Strasbourg University, France, returning there recently as an invited professor. Associate Professor Dalrymple-Alford’s interests cover both behavioral neuroscience, where his main focus concerns recovery of function in thalamic lesion models of diencephalic amnesia, and human neuropsychology, particularly cognitive and MRI changes in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
