Matthias Trost, PhD

Matthias studied chemistry in Freiburg, Germany and Manchester, UK. He did his PhD in cellular microbiology & proteomics at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, Braunschweig, Germany and was a postdoctoral fellow with Michel Desjardins at the University of Montreal, Canada and with Pierre Thibault, Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer, Montreal, Canada. Since 2010 he is programme leader and head of proteomics at the MRC Protein Phosphorylation Unit at the University of Dundee, UK where he applies large-scale proteome and phosphoproteome analyses to characterize the phagosome and identify molecular mechanisms of disease.
