Ramesh Chand Nayak, PhD

Ramesh Nayak, PhD, MSDx director of research, has a 30-year career in immunology and neurology. He was a doctoral student in the Department of Neurochemistry of the Institute of Neurology at Queens Square London. Dr. Nayak was also a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and an assistant professor at both Harvard Medical School and Tufts University College of Medicine. He was staff investigator at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston and research associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona. He has published over 30 original publications, over 15 editorials/reviews and 50 abstracts on immunohistochemistry, immunocytology and autoimmunity.

Dr. Nayak leads MSDx Inc.’s efforts in research and is the inventor of MSDx’s innovative biomarker technology. In 2010 this innovation, as it applied to multiple sclerosis, won the Abstract Award for Outstanding Research in Clinical and Diagnostic Immunology, awarded by the American Association of Clinical Chemistry’s Clinical and Diagnostic Immunology Division.
