Zheng Ouyang, PhD, currently is an associate professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. His research interests include the miniaturization of mass spectrometry analysis systems and their applications in biomedicine. He has academic trainings in both electric engineering and analytical chemistry. He has contributed to the simulation and modeling of the ion processing, development of new sampling ionization sources and simple atmospheric pressure interfaces, and the miniaturization of the entire analysis systems. Zheng Ouyang has won a number of awards including the US NSF Early Career Award, the Coulter Foundation Early Career Award, the American Society for Mass Spectrometry Research Award, and the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation Curt Brunnee Award.
