Arman Rahmim, PhD, is assistant professor in the Department of Radiology and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also chief physicist in the Section of High Resolution Brain PET Imaging in the Division of Nuclear Medicine. He received his PhD in the field of medical imaging physics from the University of British Columbia, Canada, in 2005 and has been at Johns Hopkins since. Dr. Rahmim directs the Tomographic Image Reconstruction & Analysis Laboratory, and his lab focuses on the development of novel image acquisition, reconstruction and analysis techniques as applied to molecular and multi-modality imaging spanning the areas of brain, oncologic and cardiovascular imaging. He is certified by the ABSNM in Nuclear Medicine Physics and Instrumentation.
