Dr. Uc is the associate director of the Division of Movement Disorders at the Department of Neurology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and the director of the Movement Disorders Clinic at Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Iowa City. He is actively engaged in all aspects of the care of individuals with Parkinson’s disease, including deep brain stimulation.

Previously, Dr. Uc was the chair of the Cognition/Behavior Workgroup and member of the Scientific Review Committee of the Parkinson Study Group. His research focuses on cognitive aspects of Parkinson’s disease, such as driving, physical exercise and cognitive training. He has received research support from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the American Parkinson Disease Association and the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
