Robert Lutjens, PhD

Head of Discovery at Addex Therapeutics

Location: Geneva Switzerland

Dr. Lutjens is a seasoned scientist with over 20 years of research experience in academia and industrial settings and a drug developer with a proven track record in small molecule drug discovery, from hit to clinical candidate identification. He was a founding member of the team that created Addex Pharmaceuticals in 2002 and built the company's small molecule allosteric modulator (protein regulators) programs at Addex, including establishing research collaborations with Merck and Janssen Pharmaceuticals. In addition, he established numerous collaborations with leading academic groups. Prior to joining Addex, Dr. Lutjens completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Neuropharmacology at the Scripps Research Institute after receiving his PhD degree from the University of Geneva. Dr. Lutjens is co-author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications and co-inventor on patents of screening methods or chemical compounds.
