Dr. Lewis Lipsitz is a practicing geriatrician and the director of The Institute for Aging Research at Hebrew SeniorLife. He is also the chief of the Division of Gerontology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He currently has over 235 peer-reviewed publications and holds the Irving and Edyth S. Usen and Family Chair in Geriatric Medicine at Hebrew SeniorLife.

Over the past 30 years, his clinical research program has made significant discoveries on the mechanisms and management of age-related alterations in cerebrovascular function that lead to the common geriatric syndromes of cognitive dysfunction, mobility impairment and falls.
