James McInerney, MD, is a professor of stereotactic and functional neurosurgery at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University in 1993. He then completed an internship in surgery at Walter Reed National Naval Medical Center in 1994, followed by residency training in neurological surgery, which he completed at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in 2001, and a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is the director of the Neurosurgery Residency Training Program at Penn State Health Milston S. Hershey Medical Center.
