Accessing BioFind Data
Qualified researchers may obtain access to all clinical data collected in BioFIND through the BioFIND Bioinformatics Core at LONI.
BioFIND clinical data is designed to complement what is currently being collected in PPMI. The clinical data includes demographic information, neurological history, medication history, MoCA, ADL (Activities of Daily Living), MDS-UPDRS, Hoehn Yahr Stage, and Sleep (RBD) questionnaire. All data are de-identified to protect patient privacy.
Curated BioFIND data is available at neuroshare.michaeljfox.org.
To better understand the BioFIND database and for helpful hints and advice on how to use the downloaded data, investigators should refer to the Data & Specimens FAQ. Researchers interested in reviewing the standards and protocols that guide BioFIND data collection should refer to the research documents to the right.
Investigators using BioFIND data will be asked to provide updates on the analyses they have performed. Investigators may be asked to provide new data generated using BioFIND data so that it can be integrated into the database for use by future investigators.
Although every attempt has been made to ensure that the contents of the database are correct, data are provided by multiple parties and occasional errors may occur. All reasonable measures will be taken to ensure that errors are corrected promptly and completely; however, no explicit guarantee is provided regarding the accuracy of any data contained within this database.
