Start planning: From ornament decorating and cookie swaps to Secret Santa gifts and Christmas carol sing-a-longs, the sky is the limit! Whether you ask your guests to make a donation at the door or you include fun extras like a gift basket raffle to help raise funds, make sure you set a fundraising goal and identify a few ways to ways to reach it.
Outline the details: Pick a date and location -- be sure to check your community's calendar to avoid conflicting events. Planning to host a larger event? Consider asking a local restaurant, church or school to donate space for your use.
Recruit some help: Keep a list of the supplies you'll need. Identify friends, businesses or restaurants to help get materials gathered or donated.
Get creative: Bring more fun to your event by including a holiday-themed costume, "ugly sweater" contest or a jingle competition.
Spread the word: Email invites to friends and neighbors or have teachers distribute flyers at school if you plan to host a larger event. Remember to include a link to your Team Fox page so that even if guests can't attend or participate, they can still show support with a donation.
