On April 18th, Michael J. Fox participated in the 10th Annual Commission for Charity Day with BTIG, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading and related brokerage service. The Commission for Charity Day partners with professional athletes and celebrities to help raise money to support charities around the country, including The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The event raised $4.5 million.
The money raised this year will be donated to charities around the world, including Autism Speaks, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Project Sunshine, Alliance for Lupus Research, March of Dimes, St. Jude's Research Hospital, Juvenile Research Foundation, Starlight Children's Foundation and the Franciscan Hospital for Children.
