Become a Michael J. Fox Foundation Senior Living Community Partner

"When a cure for Parkinson’s is found — and it will be — it will be because of all of us."

The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) engages partners to speed the scientific breakthroughs in the search for a cure for Parkinson's disease. And we’re looking to enlist you and your residents to help in our mission.

As professionals caring for our aging population, you know the importance of brain health and wellness. Scientific evidence now exists showing as we age, our sense of smell is closely linked to our brain’s overall health. Loss of the sense of smell is an early indicator of cellular processes linked to brain diseases including Parkinson’s.

So it’s possible to take an active role in improving brain health by monitoring sense of smell as someone ages. This is done using scientifically validated scratch-and-sniff tests. Yes, that’s right — it’s simple and easy.

These learnings wouldn’t be possible without the 25,000 study volunteers contributing important data to MJFF’s landmark Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) online.

One of the guiding principles at The Michael J. Fox Foundation is to follow the research and move with urgency. That’s why we are looking for senior living communities to partner with the Foundation and connect with hundreds of thousands of residents at senior living communities to take this simple scratch-and-sniff test. We’re asking you to join us and be part of the study that could change everything.

If you are interested in learning more about this unique opportunity, send us an email today.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and partnership. Together we can focus on our one goal: to end Parkinson’s in our lifetime.
