Texas voters can bring new hope to families affected by diseases like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and dementia. If Proposition 14 passes, Texas will become the first state in U.S. history to invest $3 billion in brain disease research. Can we count on you to vote 'yes' on Prop 14?
What Is Proposition 14?
Earlier this year, the Texas Legislature passed a bipartisan bill to create the Dementia Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (DPRIT), a first-of-its-kind statewide initiative to prevent and cure brain diseases.
But one step remains: funding the research. And we need your help to make that happen.
On November 4, 2025, a ballot question — Proposition 14 — will give Texas voters the final say. If Prop 14 passes, Texas will fund DPRIT with the largest investment of existing state funds for brain disease research in U.S. history: $3 billion over 10 years.
Why Vote for Proposition 14?
Parkinson’s disease is on the rise: The number of Texans living with the disease has more than doubled in recent years. The financial cost is staggering, too: Parkinson’s costs Texas more than $3.6 billion every year.
Prop 14 can change this — without raising taxes.
