Phil Cox is co-founder of 50 State, a bipartisan, state-focused public affairs firm. Over the last two decades, Phil has directed more than 100 campaigns at every level, in nearly every state.
From 2011-2014, Phil served as executive director of the Republican Governors Association, helping to raise $250 million and increase the number of Republican governors to 31 — the most in two decades. He directed the super PAC for Gov. Chris Christie’s (R-N.J.) 2016 presidential bid and currently serves as a political adviser to a half-dozen current governors and gubernatorial candidates. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lives in McLean, Virginia with his wife and two children.
