Our DIY fundraisers, including Polka for Parkinson's, are dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's.
Team Fox Do-It-Yourself fundraisers show that when creativity meets community, anything can help advance Parkinson’s research. Across the country, supporters are turning personal passions into powerful events — each one different, meaningful and deeply rooted in connection. From comic strips to concert stages, these efforts reflect the many ways people show up.
Team Cul de Sac brings cartoonists together from across the country, inviting artists to draw and donate their work in support of research. Celebrating its 15th year, the team crossed the $25,000 fundraising mark in 2025 for the first time — a milestone for a truly one-of-a-kind collaboration.
On the water in Fishers, Indiana, Concert for a Cure gathered more than 200 people anchored together for a lakeside show, raising $20,000 at its second annual event. Founded by Wendy Chase in honor of her mother, Sue Chase, the concert blends music, remembrance and community.
In Texas, Strike Out Parkinson’s — founded by Terri Quinn — marked its seventh year, raising $52,000 in 2025. What began as a baseball fundraiser has since evolved into a bowling event, growing into a lively, all-day gathering with auctions, raffles, music and crowd-favorite traditions.
And after a decade of dancing, laughter and joy, Polka for Parkinson’s marked its final year of fundraising. Co-founded by “Happy” Louie and Julie Dusseault, the event raised over $100,000 for Team Fox while honoring Happy Louie’s 25-year journey with Parkinson’s.
Each of these events shows that DIY fundraising isn’t just about raising dollars — it’s about bringing people together in ways that are personal, creative and full of heart.
