The Michael J. Fox Foundation's very own Sam Fox is featured in the December issue of Runner’s World magazine. The profile highlights Sam’s run of the entire Pacific Crest Trail in 2011 and his Hamptons Hundred Miler run this past July. Running for Team Fox and in honor of his mom, Sam has raised close to $350,000 for Parkinson’s research. When he is not hitting the pavement, Sam is helping others achieve their own endurance feats through his current role as an Outreach and Engagement Officer at MJFF.
Sam is also telling his PD journey in his own words as part of the Foundation’s “Tell Us Your Story” Facebook campaign. In 500 words or less, the campaign encourages anyone touched by the disease to share their personal experience with others. As an added incentive, biopharmaceutical company UCB, Inc. will donate $5, up to $60,000 to MJFF for every “Like” or “Share” a story receives within the “Tell Us Your Story” application.
View Sam’s story and many others from the PD community in the “Tell Us Your Story” application featured on the MJFF Facebook page and to help raise money for high-impact PD research. Pick up the December issue of Runner’s World on newsstand now.
