Stephane Lehericy, MD, PhD, is a leading expert in neuroimaging and movement disorders. She directs the Centre for NeuroImaging Research (CENIR) at the Paris Brain Institute and co-leads the “Movement Investigation and Therapeutics” team with Marie Vidailhet. As Professor of Neuroradiology and head of the neuroradiology department at Salpêtrière Hospital, she integrates clinical and research work. She also co-directs the national imaging platform CATI. Lehericy has held key leadership roles, including with the French Society of Radiology and EuroBioImaging. Her research focuses on motor control physiology and movement disorders—particularly Parkinson’s disease—using multimodal MRI. Her work has advanced understanding of basal ganglia circuits and network dysfunction. Notably, she led France’s first focused ultrasound trial for essential tremor, now applied clinically.
