The start to giving season was the talk of the town – and Twitter – yesterday, a fitting kick-off to what promises to be a great giving season.
We saw tweets announcing donations and calling to others to do the same and #unselfies – pictures that represent why you give – honoring family members. One Twitter follower, Karen Sieminski, shared #unselfies of practically her entire family supporting MJFF – niece, nephew, sister and brother-in-law, all in support of her dad.
Even before the day, we saw what motivates our social media community’s generosity this season through more than 70 #unselfie pictures. We had the chance to hear more than 140 characters from a few, too, and shared their stories of family game nights, group skydiving and inspired ukulele-making. Altogether, it was an eventful day – but don’t let the giving spirit end here. There are plenty of ways you can continue supporting the Foundation for the rest of the month and beyond:
