Eric M. Gale, PhD
Assistant Professor of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital
Location: Boston, MA
United States
Eric Gale uses chemistry to solve unmet problems in biomedicine. His current research focuses on the design and development of biochemically specific probes for molecular imaging. Another area of major emphasis is development of drugs to treat disorders that are complicated by iron misdistribution, such as anemia associated with chronic kidney disease. Eric has prior and continuing experience contributing to development of an MRI contrast agent all the way from idea in an academic laboratory to clinical trials. He is thrilled for the opportunity to apply newly invented molecular MRI probe technology to interrogate neuroimmune processes related to Parkinson’s Disease, and to pursue this work with a wonderful team of collaborators.
