John S. Daly is chairman of Global Equity Capital Markets (ECM) at Goldman Sachs where he previously served on the Firmwide Commitments Committee and the Investment Banking Division Americas Operating Committee. He first joined Goldman Sachs after business school in 1989 in the Corporate Finance Group.
Prior to assuming his current role in 2016, John was head of the Americas ECM Group. Prior to that, he was co-head of Industrial and Natural Resources Financing and previously co-head of ECM for Asia ex-Japan. Prior to his MBA he worked as a manufacturing engineer for GE.
He serves as a member of the Provosts Council of Trinity College Dublin, on the Advisory Board of Trinity Business School and is a board member of the Irish Arts Center in New York City. John graduated with a BAI in Engineering and a BA in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
