Richard Fitzgerald is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CapitalSpring, a Nashville-based private equity and debt investment firm.
Prior to forming CapitalSpring, he worked in private equity managing the acquisition, oversight and divestment of private businesses for investments sponsored by Ardshiel and GE Asset Management. Richard began his career in the investment banking division of CIBC Oppenheimer & Co.
He joined the board of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in 2025. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees and the Endowment Investment Committee for Montgomery Bell Academy (Nashville), Board of Directors of the Centerstone Foundation (Nashville), and Board of Directors for Friends of Warner Parks (Nashville). Richard holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Trinity College.
