When the Foundation started, treatment for Parkinson’s was largely limited to one drug, and few new therapies were in the pipeline. Since our founding in 2000, MJFF-funded research has transformed the field. We worked relentlessly to identify and validate hundreds of drug targets now in therapeutic development. We built the Parkinson’s Precision Medicine Initiative, a global longitudinal study that has helped to unveil the complex biology of Parkinson’s and set the conditions for FDA approvals of three new dopamine-replacement therapies and two surgical innovations since 2024 alone.
These milestones exist because of you. It is no exaggeration to say that your belief in our mission has changed the trajectory of Parkinson’s.
