    MJFF CEO, Todd Sherer, PhD, penned an op-ed in The Hill calling for a national plan to address the Parkinson's "pandemic." Sherer writes that as the population ages and the Parkinson's global prevalence increases, a collaborative, multi- agency plan is needed to better serve people with the disease and it's a smart investment given the financial burden the government will face.

    Fast Company covers the rise of biomedical research in space as the key Parkinson's protein, LRRK2, blasts off for the International Space Station. Researchers funded by MJFF are sending samples of the protein to grow under microgravity conditions to help better reveal the protein's structure.

    TIME commemorates renowned photojournalist Margaret Bourke-White, who disclosed her Parkinson's diagnosis in a 1959 issue of LIFE Magazine. The article and accompanying video feature Vice President of Medical Communications, Rachel Dolhun, MD, and describe what has (and has not) changed in the Parkinson's field since Bourke-White's life.
