At MJFF, we are inspired by Patient Council member Dave Iverson, who is running the 2012 NYC marathon on behalf of Team Fox. Not only is he raising funds for Parkinson’s research, he’s running to recruit clinical trial volunteers through Fox Trial Finder.
We weren’t the only ones whom Dave inspires. Based in Wisconsin, where he was once a journalist for Wisconsin Public Television, Channel 3000 recently voiced their support. They write, “Parkinson’s research, like other health studies, depends on volunteers, those who have the disease and those who don’t. There are a variety of research projects ongoing and a variety of ways you can participate.”
The best news: “Dave himself is healthy enough to run a marathon.” We couldn’t agree more.
