Matchmaking for Parkinson's Research

Matchmaking for Parkinson's Research

As a follow up to his article on FastCompany’s co.exist blog, Neal Ungerleider spoke with New Hampshire Public Radio about the unique matching algorithm used by Fox Trial Finder. The online clinical trial matching tool gathers information about all actively recruiting PD clinical trials as well as basic and medical information from volunteers who sign up on the site. Trial teams and volunteers alike are then able to use Fox Trial Finder’s internal secure messaging system to further discuss the possibility of participating in a trial.

To date, over 12,000 volunteers have registered on Fox Trial Finder and, thanks to the matching algorithm Neal discusses in this interview, receive trial matches in their area that are looking for people like them. By helping to streamline the flow of participants into clinical research, Fox Trial Finder is helping to speed new treatments, and ultimately a cure, for Parkinson’s disease.
