Podcast: Living in the Moment when the Moment Is Unprecedented (Webinar)

In this month’s webinar, Dr. Rachel Dolhun, vice president of medical communications at The Michael J. Fox Foundation moderates a conversation with Dan Kinel, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2013; Nataly Kogan, founder of Happier Inc. and author of Happier Now; and Laurie Mischley, ND, PhD, MPH, associate clinical investigator at Bastyr University Research Institute about:

  • Good and bad stress in Parkinson’s and how stress can affect Parkinson’s symptoms,
  • Tips on how to practice mindfulness every day, and
  • Ways to manage mood changes during times of uncertainty.

The webinar also included a survey asking attendees how they manage stress. More than 900 people weighed in with nearly 30 percent turning to physical exercise followed by 22 percent talking to a friend or loved one and 12 percent practicing relaxation exercises.
