Aaron Sylvan Lord, MD, MSc, is the medical director of the NYU-HHC CTSI Clinical Research Center in Brooklyn. We have an established track record of recruiting subjects in the community, clinic, and inpatients settings who are under-represented in research and we have significant expertise in enrolling patients who are not English speakers. Additionally, I am Program Director of Clinical Research for the entire NYU Brooklyn enterprise given my expertise in conducting clinical trials at this safety net hospital. I am mPI for The New York City Collaborative Regional Coordinating Stroke Center (NYCC-RCC) of NIH/NINDS StrokeNet in addition to being site PI for multiple StrokeNet and other neurology trials. To highlight our experience in enrolling diverse research subjects at NYU, the NYCC-RCC has the third highest rate of non-white enrollment of any StrokeNet RCC. I have been active in the direct clinical care and research involving stroke and neurology patients in the over 12 years.
