Dr. Alejandra Camacho-Soto is a physiatrist—a physician that specializes in optimizing functional outcomes after injury such as traumas, with a subspecialty board certification in brain injury medicine. She gained extensive experience working with Medicare-based datasets during her Rehabilitation Medicine Science Training Program award. Of note, she worked closely with Dr. Racette and Dr. Searles Nielsen to explore the risk of trauma in prodromal Parkinson’s disease (PD). She has assembled a team with expertise in PD management, population-based epidemiology, and health services as it relates to PD, survey design, and dissemination and implementation of clinical decision support tools in real-world settings and diversity and inclusion.
