Anne Weissbach is a clinician-scientist at the Institute of Systems Motor Science and the Institute of Neurogenetics at the University Clinic Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) Lübeck, Germany. She studied medicine at the University of Lübeck and finished her residency in neurology at the UKSH. During her scientific education, she was trained in molecular genetic techniques, as well as in neurophysiological techniques at the Krembil Research Institute at the research laboratory of Robert Chen and Anthony Lang at the University of Toronto, Canada and the Institute of Systems Motor Science of Alexander Münchau at the UKSH Lübeck. This training enabled her to conduct complex multimodal studies on patients with different monogenic movement disorders. She recently completed an Edmond J. Safra Fellowship in Movement Disorders through the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which helped her hone her clinical skills and develop into an independent, movement disorders specialist.
