Bas Blits, PhD

Bas Blits, PhD, is a passionate scientist who has for more than 20 years been performing research in the gene therapy field, initially as PhD student at the Netherlands Institute for Brain Research; then as post-doctoral associate at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis in Miami, USA; and as associate member of the Cristopher Reeve research consortium. Blits went to the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience and was previously head of neurobiology at uniQure, responsible for pre-clinical activities in the field of CNS AAV-mediated gene therapy.
